Carbon Trust calls for 25 per cent carbon cuts across the public sector

The entire public sector has the ability to match or exceed the government target of cutting emissions from its estate by a quarter over the next four years, the Carbon Trust will say today. Analysis of 472 public sector bodies shows that average carbon reduction targets have almost doubled since 2006, rising from 16 per cent to over 28 per cent in 2011.
