Mexico will allow companies to use CDM credits instead of paying the new #CO2 tax

SAO PAULO, Oct 29 (Reuters Point Carbon) – Mexico’s Senate has approved a new tax on fossil fuel use that will allow companies to buy and surrender U.N.-backed carbon credits instead of paying the charge, the government said in a statement Wednesday.
