Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid Version 2.0 wins twice... well, sort of

Starting from the back of the 35-vehicle pack – that's where the prototypes are forced to line up – the GT3 R Hybrid, driven by Romain Dumas and Richard Lietz, climbed its way up, finishing tenth overall and beating all GT-class competitors. In its second on-track event, the Porsche GT3 R Hybrid whipped around the course at the ModSpace American Le Mans Monterey, finishing the race in tenth place overall and, once again, first in the GT class. The frugal GT3 R pitted three times (compared to the five stops of its competition) during the six-hour race, posted the fastest single lap in its class and proved that fuel efficiency remains ever-so crucial out on the track.
