Exclusive: Could EU state aid hurdle block Green Investment Bank?

The full launch of the government's flagship Green Investment Bank (GIB) could yet be delayed as a result of EU state aid rules, according to sources familiar with the matter. The £3bn investment bank has been hailed as a centrepiece of the government's green agenda and is expected to leverage a further £15bn of private sector funding for large carbon infrastructure projects.
