EU and China ink solar tariff agreement in trade war peace deal

The EU has reached an "amicable solution" to the long-running dispute with China over solar energy imports that had threatened to escalate into an all-out trade war. The deal announced by EU Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht on Saturday is understood to fix a minimum price of €0.56 a watt for up to 7GW of Chinese imports each year.
