Apple Pulls App Revealing Abuses in iPhone Manufacturing | Care2 Causes

What am I not understanding here??? If Apple had OKd this app in the first place - they surely did so with the awareness of it's content. The obvious question is by whom was pressure was applied to have it pulled? I would tend to respect any company willing to take a serious/critical look at themselves and how their actions are affecting people and the environment. That this app even appeared in the Apple store for four days would indicate someone was trying to do the right thing - to make we consumers realize that we are also accountable for what is happening behind the scenes. We tend to look the other way as we purchase and throw away all of our shiny little gadgets - pretending to be totally unaware of their sordid beginnings and trails of tears - as they make their way into our greedy little hands - - -
