Diageo seeks to harness power of whisky draff at £6m bioenergy plant - Business Green

The home of Scottish malt whisky could see a second bioenergy plant installed after drinks maker Diageo filed for consent to build a new £6m facility at its Glenlossie distillery complex in Speyside. Diageo submitted a planning application to Moray Council late last month to build a plant that will produce energy from around 30,000 tonnes of draff, the spent grain left over from distilling whisky, each year.
