Keystone XL tar sands pipeline makes history as more than 1000 arrested in protest at White House

It's always important to follow any environmental review process through every step in as informed a way as possible for both legal and public education reasons. I would not count on success as a result. I think the fix is in, although the role that commenting agencies have yet to play could dramatically shift the dynamic of this process. With the Secretary of Energy still refusing to sign off and the Administration's chief climatologist, James Hansen, courageously performing civil disobedience in a direct challenge to the President, it's too early to despair.
