Let’s Make It a Crime to Stick Nails in Horses’ Hooves

Soring is indeed abuse of horses. HOWEVER, I did not see anything in the article about the use of nails in the practice of soring - I read the article twice to be sure. What nitwit chose the title "Let’s Make It a Crime to Stick Nails in Horses’ Hooves"?! I would have to wager this person knows little to nothing about horses else they'd know that nails are necessary to affix horseshoes to hooves and aid the horse by not only protecting their hooves but increase their traction, which in turn makes their footing more secure and prevents any number of crippling accidents. I would strongly suggest that authors writing about issues which concern living creatures at least educate themselves on the basics of the animal and their standard care *first, before embarassing themselves and this newsletter with such basic errors.
