Paul Hawken pays tribute to green-biz visionary Ray Anderson:

Paul Hawken and Ray Anderson. Ray Anderson, a pioneering sustainable business leader, passed away on Monday . At a memorial service on Thursday, Paul Hawken paid tribute with this eulogy. Hawken is author of the 1993 book The Ecology of Commerce , which inspired Anderson to leave behind business as usual and strive for true sustainability within his carpet company, Interface. We, who were so fortunate to know Ray Anderson, were in awe. He was many people -- a father, executive, colleague, brother, speaker, writer, leader, pioneer -- but I am not sure any of us quite figured him out. On the outside, Ray was deceptively traditional, very quiet sometimes, an everyman, all-American, down-home.
