BP funds push for more offshore drilling in oil-soaked Louisiana via @grist #oilspill

Well I can see through your sarcasm and hey, I wasn't defending with corporate boobs in the least - we all know they tend to band together to protect their own kind so they can screw us even better. But you mentioned the word "unregulated." Heck man, they write most all the rules to their advantage! If there was any deregulation, is was allowed only so certain companies could screw other companies for more profits, and to hose the consumer even worse. Perhaps you mean "well managed by the government" which seems to be a foreign concept in the USA? In fact, I'm trying to figure out one government in the world which has such an elusive thing. Perhaps many Grist readers are thinking of it the wrong way - many businesses love lots of regulations and requirements IF they can figure out how to squeeze more money out of the system.
