European Commission proposals for Energy Efficiency Directive: Your views wanted

This is not a formal consultation. On the 22nd June, 2011, the European Commission published a draft Directive, provisionally known as the “Energy Efficiency Directive” DECC is currently working with other Government departments, the devolved administrations, and stakeholders to consider the implications of the Directive’s proposals. The negotiation of the Directive will commence in the Autumn. Whilst the negotiation timeline precludes a full consultation process, we would nonetheless welcome any informal views, comments, or observations from the public or stakeholders on the content of the proposed Directive and its annexes. We are especially interested in receiving views with regards to the costs and benefits associated with the proposals.
