Net Zero: Government to face crunch court date over UK carbon targets

The government will next week face a day in court over its failure to fast track the adoption of a more ambitious long term emissions target for the UK in line with the Paris Agreement. In the latest phase of legal action brought by the campaign group Plan B, the High Court will next Wednesday hear the case and is expected to decide on the day whether it can proceed to a full trial.
