Carluccio's finds green home for old cooking oil

Whoever states Used Cooking Oil would otherwise go to landfill is incorrect. Used Cooking Oil is a liquid, and therefore cannot go to landfill under the landfill directive. I am sick of hearing these statements from Used Cooking Oil collectors who make amazing green claims, when the oil was probably collected previously by another collector which was making the same fuel. Therefore it is arguable that there is any carbon savings whatsoever, over the existing service they had. In my humble view, the food service company could be running on a blend of biodiesel and regular diesel, from a low cost source from the restaurant. Therefore, are the restaurant getting the best value for their Used Cooking Oil? If they benchmarked against other collectors, they would see other competitive collectors who do exactly the same thing. One more point. Is the Biodiesel they use in line wit...
