Investor calls for Green Investment Bank to replace innovation funds

The government has been urged to ensure its much-trumpeted Green Investment Bank (GIB) does more to foster innovation with a view to commercialising the best new low carbon technologies. James Cameron, vice chairman of Climate Change Capital , told an audience in London yesterday that the design of the £3bn bank should incorporate innovation funding to encourage new industries that may prove to be vital in the future.
