At the same time, more than 50 million Americans are food insecure, meaning they do not know where their next meal will come from. The shocking contrast is enough to turn your stomach, but one Fortune 500 restaurant company is out to cut food waste totals down to size and turn what was once considered garbage into wholesome meals for hungry families.
