Love solar power, but not so crazy about solar panels? Meet solar ivy (via @cleantechnica)

The idea for Solar Ivy originated as a thesis on “Sustainably Minded Interactive Technology” in 2005, but has since grown into a full-fledged business, offering a mesh of “leaves”, with each of the leaves having been designed to absorb solar energy, while also doubling as – what its makers call – an aesthetically pleasing shade screen.
