So Energy is first supplier to allow customers clean energy choice

So Energy has today sought to make a name for itself in the green electricity space by becoming the first energy supplier to offer its customers a choice of the type of renewable electricity they would prefer. Alongside an announcement today that all its customers will now be supplied with 100 per cent renewable electricity, regardless of their tariff, London-based So Energy said it would hold an annual vote to see whether customers would prefer wind, solar, biomass, hydroelectric or tidal electricity. So Energy said it would report the results of the vote to Ofgem, and ensure its fuel mix for the coming year reflects customer preferences as far as possible.
