Next up to lead the Mine Safety and Health Administration? A mine safety violator (of course).

former coal executive David Zatezalo to oversee the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). Zatezalo is familiar with the agency, because his former company, Rhino Resources, was often in violation of its health and safety regulations. The Charleston Gazette-Mail reports that the mine-safety office sent a letter to Rhino in 2010, warning of a “pattern of violations” at its mines in West Virginia and Kentucky. A similar letter followed in 2011.
