Exclusive interview: Paul Lister, Head Ethical Trade Team, Primark

Although some would argue that producing fewer, better quality items of clothing is the only way to improve the footprint of textile supply chains, Paul Lister who heads up the Ethical Trade team at Primark believes a brand’s record on ethics and sustainability shouldn’t be linked to price. Instead, he says, apparel brands and retailers should be asked about their record, their supply chain and compliance practices in place.
