Shocking New Report Warns of Mass Extinction In Our Oceans

As if we weren’t already aware of the piss poor state of our environment, a new report from the International Programme on the State of the Ocean (IPSO) has revealed that if we continue to destroy our oceans then we are essentially facing a mass extinction of aquatic life. The panel of scientists concluded that the depletion of the world’s oceans are occurring at a much faster rate than originally anticipated, and it was one of the first-ever interdisciplinary studies that combined aspects like pollution, warming, acidification, overfishing and hypoxia (low oxygen). “The findings are shocking,” stated IPSO’s scientific director , Dr. Alex Rogers . “This is a very serious situation demanding unequivocal action at every level. We are looking at consequences for humankind that will impact in our lifetime, and worse, our children’s and generations beyond that.” The current con...
