Self-Repairing "Smartware" Clothing Could Signal Impending Epileptic Seizures

Can we talk about how amazing this is? Smart Textiles That Heal Wounds, Signal Seizures | @Ecouterre

is a new multi-disciplinary group that goes beyond the traditional science laboratory or design studio to integrate design with the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). Their latest project is a line of intelligent clothing that can improve health. Their research includes working on ‘smartware’ fabrics that can treat chronic wounds resulting from diabetes and leg ulcers. They have ‘bioware’ technology that is embedded materials and surfaces found in the home and on the body. Then they area also working on ‘senseware’ technology, that is made up of motion sensors found inside textiles. These textiles can provide information can signal medical professionals of impending epileptic seizures.
