As Eco Fashion Week approaches we know that all the designers are hard at work preparing their collections and shows. And no one probably more than Kim Cathers who is taking on the 68 pound challenge. 68 pounds is considered the average weight of clothes thrown away by each American, every year. Kim has been challenged to take 68 pounds of clothes, from the textiles Value Village considers unfit to sell, and create a Spring/Summer collection with 30 different looks. Her first sort through the piles of clothes at Value Village happened Tuesday morning, at 4:00am!
