#JetBlue’s blue potato farm sprouts at #JFK airport #urbanfarming via @Inhabitat

JetBlue’s new green initiative is a collaboration with GrowNYC Partners , a nonprofit that promotes local agriculture projects. The airline is also working on cultivating its garden with help from chips producer Terra. The JetBlue farm is expected to grow more than 1,000 pounds of blue potatoes per harvest that will eventually be used to make the Terra Blue chips served on JetBlue flights.
