LONDON – UK consumers have around £30 billion worth of clothes, which they haven’t worn for a year, stuffed into their wardrobes, according to a new report by WRAP, the UK’s lead body on resource efficiency. The new ‘Valuing our clothes ’ report released today, provides a big picture look at the financial and environmental impacts of textiles and clothing in the consumer-phase from raw material, to manufacture, purchase, use and disposal.
