U.S. Olympic Committee Apologizes for Insulting Millions of Knitters:

Knitters of the world got their panties in a stitch the other day when the U. S. Olympic Committee sent a cease and desist letter to knitting forum Ravelry over an Olympic themed competition. Aside from insisting the knitters desist, the USOC said that knitting “denigrated” Olympic athletes , an insult DIY knitters are not taking lightly. The Olympics Committee has apologized to the knitting community twice, but the sting of insult still remains.
