Vegetarian Star picked up on something interesting. That Youtube series “The Annoying Orange” might be one of the easiest and most accessible ways to sell fruit and veggies to kids. Sure, there are some miracle children who by luck just happen to love eating their servings of healthy and wholesome fruits and vegetables, but I think it’s safe to say that most parents face the inevitable dilemna of how to sell the concept of healthy eating. Enter The Annoying Orange— an animated orange who mirrors the actions and behaviors of children, with video titles like, “April Fruits Day,” “Frankenfruit” and “Rap-berry.” The series was created by Dane Boedigheimer and focuses on a fruit who harasses other fruits, tells horrible jokes, and in general relies on immature humor— sound like any kids you know?
