Giant NYC heart sculpture will soon transform into a "Heartseat"

We've featured lots of cool pieces of transforming furniture here on Inhabitat, but it's pretty rare to see them in the public realm. That's why we were excited to hear that Brooklyn-based design firm Stereotank will be turning their public "Heartbeat" sculpture into a "Heartseat" for Armory Arts Week . The giant red heart was erected earlier in the month in Times Square in honor of Valentine's Day, but now the piece will be transformed into seating where passersby can rest their tired feet from March 3rd to March 8th.
