Robert Redford Will Be ‘Devastated’ If GOP Limits EPA

A bit lost in the shutdown-threatening budget talks last week was a move by the GOP to include measures that would limit the EPA’s regulatory abilities. Thankfully, that attempt didn’t pass, and we can all breathe a sigh of relief (using slightly cleaner air). But the battle isn’t over, and the GOP remains on the hunt to limit or eliminate the EPA’s control over greenhouse gas emissions. Hollywood legend Robert Redford has taken notice, and fully understands the gravity of the situation : “I’m going to be devastated if something happens and I think the country will be devastated too,” Redford said of the GOP’s plans. Redford intends to meet with Interior Secretary Ken Salazar while he’s in Washington, schedule permitting.
