zeroHouse offers luxurious living in a fully self-sustaining modular home

Those of us snowed in by last night's "blizzard" will be able to appreciate the zeroHouse, a prototype for a fully self-sustaining modular home designed for complete off-the-grid living. New York-based design firm Specht Harpman conceptualized the compact and efficient dwelling as a prefabricated unit that could be shipped to a build-site for expedited construction. The home would not need to be connected to external utilities, like electric or natural gas, and would operate without wastewater disposal.
