@patagonia's latest collection honors the authenticity of its materials in a "radical" way

is going back to basics. The ethical outdoor-apparel firm launched on Wednesday a seven-piece capsule that explores what it describes as "radical new methods of manufacturing." Made from reclaimed or alternatively sourced fabrics, each "Truth to Materials" piece honors the authenticity of its material, according to the company, whether it's minimally processed cashmere or wool or cutting-room scrap otherwise headed for the landfill. Truth to Materials, Patagonia designer John Rapp explains, is about more than the sum of its constituents.
