he filmmakers are able to capture some precious grizzly cub moments. There are lots of scenes of adorable cubs frolicking in ocean waters and digging for clams in Alaska’s mud flats. In one scene, Scout wanders off and gets his claw stuck in a clam while trying to open its shell. Although this is a Disney film, its subject matter is still nature-- and out in nature, danger is constantly lurking for Amber and Scout. Viewers find out in the beginning of the film that “only half of the cubs born each winter make it through the first year alive.”From then on, theaudience becomes immersed in the daily dangers the three bears face, including an avalanche and a sly wolf, Tikanni, that's always lurking in the bears’ shadows.Thebear familyalso faces hungry male bears, Magnus and Chinook, who are looking to make a snack of the cubs.
