It may appear innocuous, but is this the most bizarre garment of 2013?

Anna Dumitriu has a yen for bugs—superbugs, that is. The U.K. "bio-artist" explores the complex relationship between humans and microbes by "inoculating" textiles with various cocktails of antibiotics and drug-resistant bacteria. But don't be alarmed; her quilts and dresses are far less deadly than they sound. Dumitriu sterilizes all biological material prior to exhibition so there's no actual risk of infecting anyone.
