Singapore Firm to Supply Technology Solutions for Beijing and Hunan Waste-to-energy Plants

Singapore-based Keppel Seghers Belgium N.V. today said that it will supply incineration technology and services worth US$14.6 million to two waste-to-energy (WTE) projects in China. Both plants are scheduled to be operational by 2019. Keppel Seghers said that Hunan Yueyang municipal WTE plant will have an incineration capacity of 1,220 metric tons per day, and will be the company’s first WTE project in Hunan province. The plant will have a generation capacity of 25 MW. In addition, the Beijing Fangshan District Circular Economy Industrial Park WTE plant will have an incineration capacity of 1,000 metric tons per day, and will have a generation capacity of about 20 MW. The plant brings Keppel Seghers' number of projects in Beijing to four.
