Lagerwey confirms Russia licensing

Lagerwey will help set up manufacturing facilities and train Otek employees in producing its turbines for the Russian and neighbouring markets, the Dutch turbine maker said. It will also aid the set up of a local supply chain. Otek owns developer VetroSGC, which was awarded 360MW of capacity in the Russian tender earlier in June. The developer has a total of 970MW of wind capacity awarded by authorties in Russia, Lagerwey said. This deal follows an agreement in February 2017, when the two companies signed an intention for cooperation. "We are proud that we, as a Dutch wind turbine supplier, are instrumental in creating a Russian wind industry," said Lagerwey CEO Huib Morelisse.
