Bills to Expand Solar Incentives in Maine Ready to Launch

The struggle over solar net metering rules in Maine continues this month with the introduction of two new bills, the Portland Press Herald reports. Early last year, the Gov. Paul LePage vetoed an energy bill that would have overhauled the state’s solar energy policy, and lawmakers later voted to uphold the governor’s veto. State energy regulators then spent much of last year working on an updated net metering rule, and issued their decision earlier this year.
