Hanwha Q Cells to supply 70MW of solar modules to Adani Group:

Tier-one PV manufacturer Hanwha Q CELLS has signed a 70MW module supply contract with Ramnad Solar, a subsidiary of Indian conglomerate Adani Group. The modules will be installed in the state of Tamil Nadu. Construction will begin in October this year with completion expected by February 2016. M.Y. Kim, seniour vice president of Hanwha Q CELLS in India said: “Hanwha Q CELLS is pleased to have partnered with Adani Group, one of India's major energy companies. Solar has received increased support from the government and India has now become one of the more interesting emerging markets." This month, PV Tech reported that Adani Group has signed an agreement with utility Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) to set up a 648MW solar park valued at INR45.4 billion (US$715 million) in Tamil Nadu.
