When it comes to solar energy development - be it photovoltaic modules or solar water heating systems - no state can touch California. According to the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the state has by the most PV installations, with a total capacity that is more than twice that of the next top state for solar energy. Lucky though for California solar installers, homeowners, businesses and other organizations are not content to let the state rest on its laurels, as new PV energy projects continue to be developed throughout the state. Capital City College Goes Solar In the state's capital city, Sacramento solar installers recently put in more than 2,000 solar panels at an area university.
