When I first started using computers teaching CAD it required learning DOS commands and it was all I could to get kids and adults to comfortably use computers. Within 10 years (2005), it was second nature and now, just 20 years later, the use of computers in absolutely everything is totally pervasive to the point where many users are actually quite stupid. Think of a checkout counter in a corner store. How often do we see people unable to do mental math and make basic change unless a computer spits out the total? If this technology burps, commerce will come to a grinding halt. Automobiles self-diagnosing for the ‘techs’ to plug in and change components, the lack of map reading...
