Ghung - " We" need to decide". We? You got a mouse in your pocket, big boy? LOL. When they began replacing union welders in Detroit with robots I don't think "we" made that decision. When they started replacing gangs of longshoremen in Nawlins with containers did "we" make that decision? Granted the unions fought those changes for a while but still lost. With today's 3d workstations my geophysicist can produce a superior output compared to what 5 geophysicists could do 25 years ago. And those poor bastards didn't even have a union to help them. How many less accounts do we have working today due to the advent of PC's vs. posting with a pencil? And many of those efficiency improvements didn't require high tech robots. I see the extreme example driving down to the rig these days: they are about to start pulling cotton out of the fields in Texas. Consider the reduction in man...
