Obama targets Romney over wind energy policy #green

He went on to say that America produces twice as much energy from wind compared with when took office in 2009 and that it also supports about 7,000 jobs in Iowa. "I think we should stop paying billions on oil subsidies and let's keep investing in clean energy … that’s a disagreement I have with Governor Romney." Since late July, Romney’s campaign has said he favours letting the Production Tax Credit (PTC) for wind projects expire. Obama wants it extended. The PTC is popular in Iowa, which has a greater proportion of wind power in its grid than any other US state. Romney 'anti-PTC not anti-wind ' Last week, Romney denied he was anti-wind despite stating he would scrap the PTC. "He will allow the wind credit to expire, end the stimulus boondoggles, and create a level playing field on which all sources of energy can compete on their merits," Shawn McCoy, a spokesman for Romne...
