SolarEdge collaborates with Andalay on power optimisers for plug and play modules

Integrated solar system manufacturer Andalay Solar’s Instant Connect Module can now be used with SolarEdge power optimisers, the two companies have said. They are also working together on the DC Instant Connect producer to embed the power optimiser cables into the frame of the Andalay module to enable faster, and cheaper, cable connection between modules. The rail-less modules would also have built-in racking and grounding. "SolarEdge is always seeking partners such as Andalay who have time and cost saving innovations in the critical balance-of-systems area within the US rooftop solar market where we are seeing such high growth," said Peter Mathews, North America general manager, SolarEdge.
