"Everyone wants to get rid of human beings, be it driving a car or running a machine and all the engineers are in the same boat as well, though for different reasons, most of my colleagues genuinely believe that this will bring in more safety and save lives." And they are right. We will one day wonder in amazement how we allowed humans to fly us to places or to drive us somewhere, or we ourselves to drive others. Machines have long made our lives easier and that will only continue. In Ray's book he actually theorized that the last thing to be outsourced to machines would be things like a hairdresser for the lower/middle classes and novelist, intellectual etc for the upper classes.
