Nuclear Phase-Out Helps Germany Boost Solar Power Production By 40%

Solar power accounted for 10% of Germany's total electricity production in May - a 40% increase over last year, according to Germany Trade & Invest , which cites data from Germany's Federal Association of the Energy and Water Industry. The significant jump stemmed from heightened capacity, sunny weather and the country's decision to phase out nuclear energy.
