Ice Cream Flavor Encourages Climate Change Activism, Deliciously

Mmmm. Climatelicious. That should be the name of Ben & Jerry’s newest ice cream flavor – brought out to encourage consumers into climate change activism. Instead they have gone with ‘Save our Swirled’ which I guess has a good ring to it too. Save our Swirled is a mix of raspberry ice cream, marshmallow and raspberry swirls, and dark and white fudge ice cream cones. As the cones melt we are encouraged to think of climate change; “If it’s melted, it’s ruined, whether it’s our ice cream or our world.” On the lid of the new ice cream is a simple message – SOS. Launched in the US this week, the SOS flavor will also be released in Australia, Europe and Asia later in the year. On every package of Save Our Swirled is the URL for www.benjerry.com/climate , where ice cream fans can learn about climate change and sign a petition hosted by Ben & Jerry’s partner, the website Avaaz.org ...
