India’s NTPC opens bidding for 510MW of solar EPC contracts

NTPC has invited bids for 260MW in Rajasthan and 250MW in Madhya Pradesh. Flickr: Christopher Kray Indian utility National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) is tendering engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts for 250MW of solar capacity in Madhya Pradesh and 260MW in Rajasthan. NTPC has invited bids for 250MW of solar PV projects in Madhya Pradesh, made up of five blocks of 50MW each. It has also invited bids for 260MW of solar PV projects in Rajasthan, made up of four blocks of 65MW each. Jasmeet Khurana, senior consulting manager at analyst firm, Bridge to India told PV Tech: “NTPC will invest its own capital and these projects will not have any private sector investments. “This project is a part of 10GW that NTPC wants to develop over the next few years to meet its Renewable Generation Obligation (RGO).” After the news, Khurana tweeted: #India seems to...
