Solar Power to Cut High Electricity Costs at NJ Sawmill

Solar Power to Cut High Electricity Costs at NJ Sawmill Friday, May 25th 2012 3:38 PM By GetSolar Staff. A provider of commercial solar power systems, recently announced a 243-kilowatt solar photovoltaic system at Riephoff Sawmill was recently completed. The project marks another milestone for solar power in New Jersey, which is second only to California when it comes to utilizing this form of green energy. The project is located at the sawmill in Monmouth County, in the upper borough of Upper Freehold, New Jersey. The facility is New Jersey's largest hardwood sawmill, and has been in operation for more than 45 years. The mill's solar system is ground-mounted and consists of a 165-kilowatt array that generates power for the sawmill and a 78-kilowatt array that generates power for another facility on the property.
