Vestas, EDF RE complete 2013 master supply agreement; talks underway for next wind turbine contract

Turbine maker Vestas reports that developer EDF Renewable Energy has placed a turbine supply order totaling 150 MW, completing the master supply agreement signed between the two parties in 2013. According to Vestas, the order includes the supply and commissioning of 75 V100-2.0 MW wind turbines as well as a three-year service agreement. Turbine delivery is scheduled for the third quarter of 2016. The 2013 agreement represented up to 1.2 GW of capacity and orders totaling nearly 1.1 GW have already been received, Vestas notes. Additionally, Vestas and EDF RE have begun negotiations on a new master agreement totaling up to 1 GW of future capacity.
