In your overzealous support of Feed-in-Tariffs, you have missed the good work we have done to get solar down to $2/Watt. Germany scale helped, but no other country can stomach the costs of the FiT regime that delivered that. Germany is now at grid parity (retail price above FiT). The problem is that Germany never learned how to finance a PPA without a AAA rated utility backing the FiT contract. Many of us are fixing this problem and will do so without disruption to the German market in 2012. This is why we pushed for the "self usage" 80% piece. Your inability to understand where the solar industry is now is appalling. At $2/Watt over 20% of global electricity sales can now switch to cost effective solar without subsidies. The problem with you (Paul Gipe) is that you have systematically chosen the wrong approach to supporting policy leading to the boneheaded Ontario program...
