Solar Water Heating Encouraged in California Wednesday, April 18th 2012 4:31 PM By GetSolar Staff. People in California are reaping the benefits of green energy resources more than residents of any other state in the country. With advancements being introduced in the Golden State on a regular basis, solar water heating has become more popular after the California Solar Initiative Thermal Program encouraged residents to invest in this technology. Four program administrators, including the California Center for Sustainable Energy, Pacific Gas & Electric Company, Southern California Edison Company and Southern California Gas Company, recently launched a statewide outreach campaign to educate all residents on the benefits of solar water heating technology.
